Genevieve will be joining the 1st North American Tour of Operation Mincement! She will be swinging all 3 of the female roles in the show. This is quite the genre shift after touring with Les Misérables for 2 years as a Fantine cover. Trading Paris for London and bread for breifcases, she is so excited to showcase her comedic chops, *her favorite of all the chops - lamb being a very close second.
Rehearals start Aug 10th at New 42 Studios in NYC. The tour is set to open in Providence, RI late September, 2026.
GENEVIEVE ELLIS
LET'S BLAME SNOW WHITE ...
Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Genevieve's rich vocal timbre, sunny disposition and killer Shakira impression have somehow managed to get her to this point in her career. She began performing at a young age, as she would reenact various scenes from Snow White as a four-year-old, and force her entire family to watch. (Click here for photo evidence.)
She received her BFA in Musical Theatre from SUNY Fredonia and holds a Certificate in Advanced Vocal Pedagogy from Sonaura Voice. In October 2022, she made her National Tour debut in Les Misérables, after submitting a self-tape to an open call. She had no representation and was not a member of the union at the time. She toured for two years, completing over 750 performances, as a member of the ensemble and covering Fantine.

Some of her favorite credits include; Brooke/Vicki (Noises Off), Cinderella (ITW), Portia (Something Rotten), Helena (MSND) & every single time she donned the blue factory hat as Fantine (40+ times!!) As a human being, she lives life with a whole lot of humor and a ton of dog hair. (Her dogs shed.) She is always down to play a game of Clue or Rummikub, and wholeheartedly believes that laughter is the best medicine! Oh, and if she dosen't respond to your email right away, she's probably hiking a mountain somewhere... GO BILLS!!
